The Honey-Don't List by Christina Lauren

A fast paced, humorous story about love, business, and celebrities

Synopsis: Carey has devoted over a decade of her life working for Melissa and Rusty Tripp - a famous home renovation couple. Just as the couple is about to launch their book about marriage and a second Netflix show, they start to fall apart.

James is an engineer who has recently joined the Tripp team. As he works alongside the couple, he quickly realizes he may have gotten more than he bargained for when he joined their team.

As Carey and James work side by side to keep the Tripps under control, they develop their own relationship.

My thoughts/feelings: I loved this book! It was gifted to me for Mother's Day by a dear, book loving friend. I am beyond grateful, as I may never have picked it up on my own. And this was a book I NEEDED to read.

I may have enjoyed it because I lived in Waco for almost a year, and the Magnolia company by Chip and Joanna Gaines is one of my favorite enterprises. The Magnolia Silo district in Waco is one of my all time favorite places. What does that have to do with this book, you may be asking yourself...Well, the couple in this book and their company bare an uncanny resemblance to the Gaines'.

This is the first book I have read by Christina Lauren. When I followed the author on Goodreads and Instagram, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this is not one author but indeed they are a duo of writing besties named Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings! How cool!! I may be the last person on Earth to learn this...but this is a new genre for me - one I am I quickly falling in love with.
